The Centrist Democratic Movement (CDM) National Federation takes on a new milestone as it conducts for the first time the National Strategic Planning last January 10, 2011 at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City.

The activity was highlighted by the presence of  Dr. Gerhard Wahlers, International Cooperation - Head of Department of the Kondrad-Adenauaer-Stiftung (KAS) together with his wife, Annette Wahlers; and the CDM National Conveners, Dr. Peter Koeppinger, Country Representative of KAS and Mr. Lito Monico C. Dr. Peter Koeppinger introduced the presence of his head Dr. Wahlers to the delegates. He called on everyone present to just do their job without having to act out for the purpose of giving good impression.

A challenging and inspiring message was delivered by  the National Council President, Mr. Roderico Y. Dumaug, Jr.prior to the the actual strategic planning. The National President called on everyone to be enthusiastic in sharing their plans not only for the region but for the entire CDM National Federation through a clear and professional means of attaining it.

The strategic planning proceeded with a highly interactive sharing of ideas from among the participants with the guidance and comment from the National Conveners, Lito Monico C. Lorenzana and Peter Koeppinger.

Dr. Wahlers  expressed his immense appreciation to the conduct of the proceeding and noted that if these are the kind of people willing to take part, then a great hope can happen to the movement in whatever way it chooses its direction to heed.  Being first time to the Philippines, he cannot help but admire the enthusiasm of the officers and members considering its being first of its kind in the country. He declared the continued support of the KAS  in the cause of the Centrist Democratic Movement in the Philippines.

After the deliberation, a formal adoption to the strategic planning concluded the session.
