“LAMBIGIT: A Regional Assembly of Young Professional Volunteers Calling for Good and Decentralized Governance” is a regional network of Northern Mindanao as part of a nationwide organization of Centrist Democratic Movement convened by TACDRUP Chairman, Lito Monico C. Lorenzana and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) headed by Philippine Representative Dr. Peter Köppinger.

After series of conventions done in strategic location throughout the Philippines which likewise includes planning and finally the realization of the establishment of the Centrist Democratic Movement as nation-wide organization last May 25-28, 2010 at Davao City when delegates from different regions throughout the country gathered together to create its own Charter. Thus on May 30, 2010, the CDM Northern Mindanao Core Members gathered together and elected Interim Officers to officially plan the 1st Regional Assembly. The Region held its first year anniversary and 2nd Regional Assembly last June 19, 2011 and a 3rd Regional Assembly last July 10, 2011 to elect anew officers of the Regional Council based on its New CDM Statutes of May 2011.

After the Berlin Protocol in 2011, the CDM is now transformed into a national political party, the Centrist Democratic Party of the Philippines. The current National President of the CDP is the Representative of the 2nd District of Cagayan de Oro, Rep. Rufus B. Rodriguez. The party actively participated in 2013, 2016 and in the 2019 national and local elections which it submits candidates for election.

LAMBIGIT is the term we use in Northern Mindanao to connote participation and involvement using our local dialect to bring the movement closer to the people within the area.

Mission


“The mission of CDM Lambigit Northern Mindanao is to produce leaders who embody the centrist democratic value on human dignity, lay the foundation on socio-political and economic reforms and establishment of a federal Philippines.”

Goals:

First, Establish a strong member-based centrist democratic leaders in the region.


Second, Reform of the regional democratic political  system towards the eventual establishment of a parliamentary form of government.


Third, Transform the socio-economic system towards the eventual establishment of a Social Market Economy in the region.


Fourth, Promote principle of subsidiarity on a decentralized system and proximity of political decision-making towards the eventual creation of a federal Philippines.


Fifth, Engage and influence public opinion towards the institutionalization of centrist value and principles.
