CAGAYAN DE ORO -- Owners of auto supply stores in this city expected a decrease in the number of customers buying sirens and blinkers after President Benigno Aquino III banned the unauthorized use of such devices.
Christian Belnez, who manages Auto Supply, told Sun.Star that most of those who buy the sirens and blinkers are businessmen who have SUVs.
"Most of our customers are usually Muslims from Marawi. We noticed only few people from Cagayan who buy sirens and blinkers," Belnez said in vernacular.
He said the price of sirens and blinkers ranges from P10,000 to P16,000 depending on the brand. Customers could buy a siren at P5,000.
Belnez said that with the ban, some of the auto supply owners in this city have already decided to stop selling sirens and blinkers. (SVB of Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro/Sunnex)
