The birth of Lambigit as part of Centrist Democratic Movement(CDM) throughout the Philippines was coined with a very significant bearing as  the first gathering entitled "Lambigit: The 1st Regional Assembly of Young Professional Volunteers Calling for Good and Decentralized Governance" on June 19, 2010 was also the commemoration of  the birth of the country's national hero, Dr.Jose P. Rizal.Just like our national hero, the young professionals gathered on the assembly on that day was emboldened by a task to be the agents of change for good governance and become active partners for a decentralized system of government, prompted by a passionate love of country.

The activity was held in Chali Beach Resort, Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City and with its natural and scenic beauty of the Macajalar Bay,added significance to all participants from all over places in Northern Mindanao since Cagayan de Oro City is the most strategic location to conduct it. Along with us are visitors from the Bangsamoro and Caraga regions which in the future are expected to put up their own assembly in their respective areas.


 The presence of the CDM National Convenor, Mr.Lito Monico C. Lorenzana awakened the participants with his fiery passion to do good for his countrymen making everyone present felt the sense of urgency to heed the call and the beginning is now. The Kondrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) representative Dr. Peter Köppinger,was represented by Mr. Miguel Musngi,the Program Officer, delivered an equally challenging task for the young professionals.

 The activity was held successfully by the active involvement of the officers and members of the CDM Northern Mindanao Core which was headed by the Interim Regional Chairman, Roderico Y.Dumaug, Jr. and also the active help of the TACDRUP (Technical Assistance for Community Development in Rural and Urban Poor), Ms. April dela Cruz, the Mindanao Coordinator and Dondon Clamor.

The induction of the interim officers was likewise held and the induction officer was the CDM National Convenor himself,Mr. Lito Monico C. Lorenzana.
