Regional Council meets for
the 1st time in 2011
The last time the Regional Council met
was last December 2010 during the conduct of the Regional Strategic Planning
held in Lugait, Misamis Oriental and for the first time the Regional Council
apart from National and local activities conducted during the 1st
quarter of 2011, the Regional Council finally sit again for a meeting.
The meeting was attended by the officers
of the Regional Council headed by the Regional Chairman, Roderico Y. Dumaug,
Jr., the Deputy Chairman, Bruce A. Colao, the Regional Secretary, Lorelyn T.
Dumaug and the Regional Treasurer, Jordan Jay C. Antolin. Some members of the
Regional Assembly likewise attended from Cagayan de Oro City,Misamis Oriental,
Iligan City and Lanao del Norte namely: Gil
S. Etulle; Divina M. Suson; Hester Roa; Olive Adrienne G. Barba; Enrico C. Razalo; Efren V. Mercado; Erber Fe
S. Tirado; Abel Jose A. Moya and Gimaidee Ann Cadotdot.

The agenda of the parliamentary meeting
held at Coffeeworks, LKKS, Cagayan de Oro City on March 13, 2011, 3:00 PM to
5:00 PM includes the following:
1.
Announcement of the local
activities of the Regional Assembly of CDM Lambigit, the activities of the
National Council and some scholarship offered to the CDM members, the
districting as part of the strategy for mass-base recruitment;
2.
The Basic Orientation Seminar
and forum with power holders who are in Northern Mindanao as a special activity
for the Regional Assembly;
3.
The sending of the nine (9)
delegates from the Regional Assembly to the Thematic Commissions Workshop in
Makati City on March 16-17, 2011;
4.
The proposal for a political
project called:” Institute for Local Democracy” which is considered to be one
of the major political projects which the Regional Assembly aspires to make;
5.
Other Matters.
The meeting
was very productive considering the systematic manner that the Regional
Chairman employed by sending the materials of the meeting prior to the actual
meeting.
